Prizewinner at both the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition and the 2015 Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition, Sergey Dogadin has already established himself as one of the brightest young violinists in today's classical music scene. In this performance of Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 2, he is accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of the Münchner Philharmoniker and the Mariinsky Stradivarius Ensemble under the direction of Lorenz Nasturica-Herschcowici.
The concert took place as part of the 2016 MPHIL 360°, which featured performances of all of Mozart's violin concertos by rising star violinists. Written in the early 1770s when the composer himself was still a teenager, Mozart's five violin concertos represent the gallant style at its very best, never disappointing with their irresistible effervescence and youthful charm!
