Liya Petrova and Alexandre Kantorow perform Debussy, Brahms, and Franck Festival de la Grange de Meslay

About

After the success of the Musikfest Parisienne, virtuosos Liya Petrova and Alexandre Kantorow join forces once more in this masterful performance at the Festival de la Grange de Meslay! The program begins with Debussy’s effervescent Violin Sonata in G Minor, the last work in an unfinished series. The tender chords of Brahms's Violin Sonata No. 2 then ring across the magnificent venue; Clara Schumann, perhaps the composer's greatest muse, declared that no work by Brahms had delighted her more. The artists bring the night to a sublime conclusion with Franck’s rich and refined Violin Sonata, a brilliant masterpiece that is sure to provoke some goosebumps among the audience.
