Program notes

Pianistic virtuosity and artistic dedication take center stage at the at the UN Human Rights Chamber in Geneva, Switzerland, in its 7th Edition, as the extraordinary Grigory Sokolov—perhaps the most revered pianist alive—performs a scintillating selection of works, highlighting Schumann and Chopin’s contributions to the pianistic repertoire. The artist first dazzles us in Schumann’s Fugues and Bunte Blätter, before concluding the recital with four of Chopin’s Polonaises, including the beloved "Heroic"!
