Join award-winning conductor Gianandrea Noseda in Washington, D.C., for an extraordinary concert with the National Symphony Orchestra and violin virtuoso James Ehnes! The iconic orchestra performs a world premiere by American composer (and Kennedy Center artist in residence) Carlos Simon, Tales — A Folklore Symphony. Surrounding this innovative new work are Dvořák's stirring and evocative symphonic poem The Wood Dove—a rarely performed gem—and Beethoven's immortal Violin Concerto, interpreted with brio and sensitivity by the marvelous Ehnes.
