Tune in to watch the prestigious Geneva Competition 2021 finals, live from the Victoria Hall! Created in 1939 under the name of "Concours International d'Exécution Musicale", the competition aims at promoting the career of young talented artists in a variety of disciplines, alternating every year. For the 2021 edition, cello and oboe are under the spotlight!
With the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande conducted by Douglas Boyd, our young musicians perform two pieces: one of the two pieces for solo oboe and ensemble by the award-winning composers of the Geneva Competition 2019 (Daniel Arango-Prada’s Dune, and Hinako Takagi’s L’instant), and Strauss's Oboe Concerto. Which of them will win the first prize? Watch the concert to find out!
