Every year in Berlin, the ritual remains unchanged: The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates the New Year with a particularly festive concert. In 2010, Gustavo Dudamel conducts the concert, and is joined by the Lettonian mezzosoprano Elīna Garanča.
