Program notes

Live on medici.tv, the Emerson String Quartet performs at the Louvre Auditorium in a Brahms and Shostakovich programme.

The first part of the programme features the second string quartet composed by one of the masters of the Romantic era: Brahms. The concert closes on a work by Shostakovich, a composer that the ESQ has played a lot (they have performed the composer's complete string quarets a few times): the String Quartet in D flat Major.
