Avi Avital and MILOŠ perform Bach, Philip Glass, Albéniz, De Falla, Giovanni Sollima, and Mathias Duplessy

Mandolinist Avi Avital joins guitarist Miloš Karadaglić for a joyful and dynamic concert with a varied repertoire! The program features some of the most beautiful pieces of Baroque music—including Bach’s Concerto in D Minor and his English Suite No. 2 in A Minor—alongside various works by Philip Glass, including Poet Acts and “Opening”, the first movement of Glassworks structured around a haunting polyrhythmic melody. The concert concludes with French composer Mathias Duplessy’s Sonata for Guitar and Mandolin—performed at the Verbier Festival for the first time ever by the composer himself!
