The Colombian conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada and Lilli Paasikivi in Mahler's monumental Symphony No. 3, live on medici.tv!

Discover the Colombian conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada at the head of the Verbier Festival Orchestra! A true rising star, he came to international attention in 2004 thanks to an outstanding performance at the Vienna Musikverein with the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich.

The medici.tv audience can listen to him conduct Mahler's greatest, longest symphony (about an hour and a half long). Built as an ode to the nature, Mahler's score portraits a tormented and extremely Romantic landscape. Its gorgeous nocturne is here sung by the mezzo soprano Lilli Paasikivi, principal soloist at the Finnish National Opera.
