Virtuoso pianist Alexandre Kantorow, Grand Prize winner at the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2019, makes his anticipated Verbier Festival debut with an electrifying solo recital! The young superstar performs two highly challenging masterworks of the piano repertoire: Brahms's Ballades—written when the composer was barely 20, in a bold stylistic departure from the famed Ballades that Chopin had completed just over a decade earlier—and Rachmaninov’s poignant Piano Sonata No. 1.
