About the Verbier Festival

The Verbier Festival: a reputation of artistic excellence.

The Verbier Festival, created in 1994 by Martin T:son Engstroem, quickly aquired a reputation of artistic excellence and is now considered as one of the most important European festivals.

Every July, the greatest names of classical music gather during two weeks, among the wonderful landscape of the Swiss Alps for an exceptional concert series featuring choirs, orchestras, and intimate recitals.

The Verbier Festival gives the artists the opportunity to perform original programmes with other musicians that they admire and with whom they have never had the opportunity to play. These exceptional concerts are highly appreciated, both by the artists and the audience.

In addition to these world renowned performers, tomorrow's promising artists receive a great deal of attention. Thanks to the Verbier Festival Academy and to the Verbier Festival Orchestra, young talented artists from all over the world take part in this event alongside those grand masters.

Thus, the Verbier Festival offers to each and all of its 40,000 spectators, a unique musical experience within a friendly and warm atmosphere.
