The film was shot in Benares, Calcutta, Delhi, Paris and London, with some of the friends or disciples of the famous musician, such as George Harrisson, Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Jean-Pierre Rampal. A real portrait of the acknowledged master of the sitar.
