Program notes

For the third time since the creation of medici.tv, meet the legendary Hungarian quartet, live!

The programme the four musicians created and their discography really look alike, which means: a journey through the history of music from Haydn to Britten, stopping by the best chamber music composer of the Romantic era: Franz Schubert. And in order to perform his Quintet with two cellos the Takács Quartet asked Marc Coppey – ex-member of the Tchaikovsky Trio along with Yehudi Menuhin and Victoria Postnikova – to join them.

This concert will also be available on www.citedelamusiquelive.tv and www.arteliveweb.com. It will be broadcast on France Musique on February 3.
