Replay on medici.tv: the Grand Finale performance of South-Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho, First Prize of the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition.

This video, recorded live on October 18, 2015 at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, is now part of the great History of music. Following this performance, the young Seong-Jin Cho was awarded the First Prize and the gold medal at the very prestigious Chopin Competition.

The Grand Finale took place in Warsaw from October 18 to October 20. On the night of October 20, the jury decided to award the First Prize of the Chopin Competition 2015 to 21-year old South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho. Seong-Jin Cho now joined the highly prestigious club of the winners of the Chopin Competition, a club that already comprizes Maurizio Pollini, Martha Argerich, Garrick Ohlsson, Krystian Zimerman, Yundi...

Born on May 28, 1994, Seong-Jin Cho has studied at the Paris Conservatoire since 2012 and is now a student of French pianist Michel Beroff. He has already received the First Prize at the 2009 Hamamatsu Competition, the Third Prize at the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, and the Third Prize at the 2014 Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv. Congratulations for this new gold medal!
