Les Arts Florissants and William Christie: Monsieur Lully's Garden Les Solistes du Jardin des voix

About

In 2011, Le Jardin des Voix (Les Arts Florissants' academy for young singers) celebrates its 10th birthday. On the occasion of its 5th edition, the singers focus on the French music of the 17th century – a repertoire that William Christie holds dear to his heart, and to which he has contributed to an awakening. The programme features a pasticcio composed of excerpts from operas by Lully and airs de cour by Lambert and Campra. For the first time, the singers will take part not only in an international tour of concerts, but also in the creation of a lyrical production.

"Le Jardin des Voix has given me the great pleasure and satisfaction of seeing over the past ten years young and upcoming talents become professional performers and passionate advocates of the Baroque repertoire."
William Christie
