The closing concert of the Verbier Festival 2014, with Iván Fischer and Mikhail Pletnev.

For more than 30 years, Iván Fischer has the musical director of the Budapest Festival Orchestra which he founded, and he is today one of the most iconic people of the music scene. He is also the music director of the Konzerthaus Berlin and his orchestra. This summer, he is a guest at the Verbier Festival to close the 2014 edition with the Verbier Festival Orchestra.

Following a performance of Haydn's Piano Concerto in D Major, starring Mikhail Pletnev, Iván Fischer will also conduct Mahler's Symphony No. 6, "Tragic", one of the most famous symphonies ever written by the composer.
