Program notes

The great revelation of the 2012 Verbier Festival, Daniil Trifonov joins forces with Renaud Capuçon for a chamber music programme!

Renaud Capuçon, now an iconic musician of the Verbier Festival, performs with one of the most promising young talents of the moment: the 21 year-old pianist Daniil Trifonov, who has already been rewarded with the 3rd prize at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw, and the 1st prizes at the Tchaikovsky Competition and at the Rubinstein Competition.

Schubert's Fantasy in C Major is reknowned for being one of the most challenging violin and piano works, such as the Franck sonata. A virtuoso concert, highlighting two great artists and their instruments.
