Six young cellists, selected by audition in France and abroad, have had the possibility to deepen their musical awarness and to understand what it takes to embark on a professional career. Gautier Capuçon, together with pianist Samuel Parent have covered all year long both artistic and professional coaching.

Gautier Capuçon is one of the greatest French cellists. He has performed in major festivals in Europe and the USA with the most illustrious orchestras from around the world. He also regularly collaborates with Lionel Bringuier, Myung-Whun Chung, Gustavo Dudamel, Charles Dutoit, Semyon Bychkov, Leonard Slatkin, Valery Gergiev... Amongst his numerous achievements figures the First Grand Prize at the International André Navarra Cello Competition in Toulouse. In 2001, he was named New Talent of the Year at the French awards ceremony Victoires de la Musique and is also the winner of several Echo Classics Awards, the most recent is a recording made with Gergiev for a compilation of Fauré’s chamber music in 2012.
