Program notes

The two Georgian artists of this 2013 Verbier Festival join forces to perform a Schubert-Franck programme, live from the Verbier church.

Khatia Buniatishvili is a thrilling revelation of the Verbier Festival. A rising star of the piano, she performs here with her fellow countrywoman Lisa Batiashvili. This young violinist is passionate about contemporary music and chamber music, and she enjoys an increasing success.

This programme features pieces from the 19th century: Schubert's Sonata "Grand Duo" and Rondo Brillant, and César Franck's Sonata in A Major.
