New! The Verbier Festival opens a summer music camp, which will take place for the first time in July 2013! Sixty young musicians, aged 15-17, will be able to take classes from the talent which has grown in the Verbier Festival's own learning programmes: the orchestral coaching will be delivered by alumni of the Verbier Festival Orchestra. Icing on the cake: Daniel Harding is the music director of the orchestra!

Young musicians aged 15 to 17 from all over the world, are invited to apply and audition online on the Acceptd website.

This new summer music camp, which will take place in Verbier from 7 to 28 July 2013, is the latest learning initiative by the Verbier Festival. After the Verbier Festival Academy, dedicated to training young soloists, and the Verbier Festival Orchestra, which addresses young orchestra musicians aged 18 to 28, the Music Camp aims at even younger musicians. “Our goal is to identify talented musicians from an early age and to support and guide them towards an accomplished musical career”, explains Martin T:son Engstroem, Director of the Verbier Festival and initiator of the Music Camp.
