Interview with Renaud Capuçon, a profound multifaceted musician reaching artistic maturity.

This very personal interview investigates Renaud Capuçon's life at 32 years old, when he is at the height of his artistic career. One of the most recognized French violinist goes back on his childhood and on his encounter with his instrument, at 5 thanks to a record by Augustin Dumay. His encounter with poetry in high school is also a determining event in his career which influenced many of his musical choices.

The very generous musician explains his vision of happiness, influenced both by his faith and humanism: being satisfied of his personal life while sharing and communicating his musical message.

This program is also the occasion to hear his instrument: the mythical "Panette," a 1737 Guarneri violin, which had belonged to Isaac Stern. According to Renaud Capuçon, it is his dearest object and he always keeps it very close to him.
