24 Hours with... Coppelia

At the Paris Opera House

In 2011, the Paris Opera proposed two versions of Coppelia, the famous ballet created in 1870, inspired by the story of The Sandman by Hoffmann and put to music by Léo Delibes.

One version is performed by the 'Etoiles', the 'Premiers Danseurs' and the 'Corps de Ballet' of the Paris Opera, and the second is interpreted by the Paris Opera 'Ecole de Danse' dance school.

This documentary follows the preparations for the 2 ballets featuring interviews with the 'Etoile' dancers Dorothée Gilbert and Mathias Heymann among others.
