Composed of 2930 diamonds, including the famous yellow "De Beers" (234 carats), it finally adorned his neck, where its fascinating story begins. This story involves the Maharajah’s family and the history of India: Independence in 1947, the partition, the terrible exodus that followed, the greatness and the fall of the Maharajahs... In 1974, the necklace that had been last worn in 1948 disappeared with its “De Beers” diamond. That’s when the treasure hunter of the house of Cartier set off in search of it...
