Jenůfa, Fidelio, Brokeback Mountain...: live the opera live on medici.tv.
It is one of those periods when medici.tv decides to let you enjoy the very best of opera live on its platform! Rarely performed operas, such as Spontini's La Vestale, Salieri's Les Danaïdes, Meyerbeer's L'Africaine and Janáček's Jenůfa; the world premiere of Charles Wuorinen's new opera Brokeback Mountain composed after Ang Lee's multi-award winning movie; Beethoven's one and only opera, Fidelio; a new production of Les Indes galantes to celebrate the year of Rameau with Christophe Rousset; and last but not least, Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera conducted by Emmanuelle Haïm!
This exceptional programming is also the opportunity for medici.tv to partner with some of the most prestigious opera stages, sometimes for the first time (the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées on last October, La Fenice and the Opéra Royal de Versailles on November, la Monnaie, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie and the Opéra National de Bordeaux on February 2014, the Opéra de Lille on March). Brokeback Mountain is broadcast live from the Teatro Real Madrid, where medici.tv already went on February 2013 for the world premiere of Philip Glass's opera The Perfect American.
