Nadezhda Karyazina
Born Sept. 16, 1986 .
Nadezhda studied at the Russian Academy of Theatrical Arts in Moscow from 2003 to 2008. During the two years that followed, she performed her first onstage roles at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center in Moscow, including Laura in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanthe, the Contessa in Verdi’s Rigoletto and Siébel in Gounod’s Faust. She has been a member of the opera studio of Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater since 2010, where she attended master classes given by Laura Claycomb, Elena Obraztsova and Evgeny Nesterenko. Nadezhda gave her debut performance at the Bolshoi Theater in the role of Petrovna in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride.
In 2011 and 2012, she is a finalist at the Neue Stimmen Competition and the Operalia Competition, both broadcast live on medici.tv.
