Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Sarah Nemtanu and Christophe Morin play Schumann, Gernsheim and Brahms
Jean-Frédéric Neuburger & Friends
Jean-Frédéric Neuburger meets up with the violinist Sarah Nemtanu and the cellist Christophe Morin for a concert braodcast live from the Louvre auditorium, with works by Schumann, Gernsheim and Brahms.
After Jordi Savall, Shlomo Mintz, Boris Berezovsky and Viktoria Mullova, the Louvre Museum in Paris opens once again its auditorium to the young generation by inviting Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and friends to kick off the 2014 season. A worldwide renowned pianist, organist and teacher, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger is a 28-year old musician with plenty of talent to spare. A passionate about gregorian, romantic and spectral musics, he is regularly invited by prestigious musical institutions and is following a path which is reminiscent of Olivier Messiaen's own artistic career.
No wonder then that Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, along with his friends Sarah Nemtanu and Christophe Morin, pay tribute to the composer Friedrich Gernsheim. One more proof of Jean-Frédéric Neuburger's eclecticism and curiosity.
Medici.tv will broadcast three out of the six concerts from the Jean-Frédéric Neuburger cycle. On the 10th of January, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger meets up with Sarah Nemtanu, first violin at the Orchestre National de France. The cellist is none other than Christophe Morin, regular chamber music partner of Jean-Frédéric Neuburger and Sarah Nemtanu. Christophe Morin shares indeed with Sarah Nemtanu the artistic direction of the Chamber Music Festival of the île de Ré (France), and altogether with the bandoneonist Victor Villena form a trio specialized in tango music.
Musée du Louvre: Jean-Luc Martinez, President Director; Monique Devaux, Concerts Artistic Director.
