Behzod Abduraimov plays Saint-Saëns, Chopin, Schubert and Ravel

Louvre Auditorium

The 23 year-old Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov live from Paris on!

Invited by the Louvre Auditorium for its series dedicated to the young artists, Behzod Abduraimov chose a Romantic programme featuring works by Schubert and Chopin but also Saint-Saëns and Ravel.

Discovered in 2009 at the early age of 18, Behzod Abduraimov won the London International Piano Competition with a performance of Prokofiev's highly demanding Piano Concerto No. 3. Following the signature of a contract with Decca, Behzod Abduraimov recorded a disc featuring piano works by Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns and Liszt. BBC Music Magazine: " An inventive transcription of Saint-Saens's hackneyed classic allows him to establish immediately his light, transparent touch and immaculately controlled pyrotechnics." You will be able to listen to this work (the Danse macabre, previously arranged by Vladimir Horowitz) live from the Louvre auditorium on the 17th of October, 2013!

Musée du Louvre: Jean-Luc Martinez, President Director; Monique Devaux, Concerts Artistic Director.
