AV Cheglakov
Initially, AVC Charity Foundation was established with the aim to support young talented musicians. For two years the Foundation has been carrying out its charity activities in the exhibition, publishing and music spheres, both in Russia and abroad.
The exhibitions in the State Tretyakov Gallery: “The Vision of the dance. Centenary of the Sergei Diaghilev’s Russian Ballet in Paris” and “Snow Meridian” (Francisco Infante and Nonna Goryunova), as well as the publication of the book “The Tale of the Empress Elizabeth and the City of Moscow” and the production of films about artists Francisco Infante and Vladimir Nemukhin – are to be mentioned among the most remarkable projects of AVC Charity Foundation.
In 2011, the Foundation sponsors a special project at the Venice Biennale “One of the thousand ways to overcome entropy”. As for music projects, besides Annecy festival, the Foundation supports the organisation of two concerts of St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra in Monaco which are to happen in September 2011; it also supports the production of a movie about Rodion Shchedrin.
For the upcoming musical season, the Foundation is going to be the general sponsor and co-organiser of the new festival of Russian classical music in Lucerne in collaboration with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.
