24 hours with Misia
Story of a star of the fado
Misia is the artist who brought the Portuguese blues, the fado, on the international scenes. The mysterious singer revives the traditional repertoire (including Fernando Pessoa’s poems) with originality and respect.
She grew up under the influence of her grandmother’s artistic world, and followed her behind the scenes of many Lisbon’s theatres. Since then, her life has been shaped by a series of musical journeys, which subsequently enriched a repertoire that, may we add it, was already characterized by a great openness to many and varied influences.
The documentary follows Misia for 24 hours, from Portugal to France, on the day before one of her Parisian concerts.
